Origin's 1st Irish
Origin's 1st Irish is a New York City-wide festival that has launched the work of more than 200 Irish playwrights and continues to wow audiences with its dynamic presentations from Ireland's most vital voices at work today. Experience main stage productions, dynamic conversations, new work readings, literary events, documentaries, festival award ceremony and much more as they celebrate Ireland's most innovative artists. 59E59 Theaters has been hosting the festival since 2008.
Origin Theatre Company premieres a diverse range of contemporary European theater in New York City. Since its inception in 2002, Origin has been devoted to discovering, nurturing, and introducing new exciting voices from Europe, whose work provide unique perspectives on national identity, cross-cultural relations, and global understanding.
