It's time to set the record straight.
Young Josie Marcus is nothing like the girls back home. Passionate and fearless, she leaves behind her upper-class Jewish family for the adventure of Tombstone, Arizona - home of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp.
Eleven gutsy women give voice to the untold story of the American frontier in this compelling new musical.
Prospect Theater Company is dedicated to a bright future for the American musical.
We develop and produce new works, envisioned and implemented by emerging artists.
Our artists work in diverse genres and styles but share an interest in re-inventing the art form of musical theater for the 21st Century.
Prospect creates educational and training opportunities, and sustains a supportive network within the field. We provide a forum for artists and audiences to connect and learn from each other, and we foster the work of a vibrant community of both emerging and established artists.
Through the stories we tell, many of which are inspired by history or classic works of literature, we strive to connect theater’s present to its past—in order to build its future. We value intelligent, thought-provoking work, which reverberates with history and resonates in the heart.
Since its incorporation in June of 1998, Prospect Theater Company has supported an outstanding and diverse group of emerging artists in NYC’s off-Broadway scene. Originally founded by five graduates of Princeton University, Prospect has grown to include a network of over 1,000 artists. Over the past decade, we have presented the New York and/or world premieres of more than 30 new musicals.

"Mishaela Faucher, as the young Josephine, and Stephanie Palumbo, as the young Allie Earp, Wyatt’s sister-in-law, move things along nicely. While the show would benefit from a wider range of musical styles, the ensemble numbers “Pins and Needles” and “Unpacking Dreams” are quite catchy." - The New York Times
"Yet Mishaela Faucher, as the younger Josie, is clearly our heroine: brave, smart, and honorable. The little-known Faucher is also the finest performer on the stage, and quite a find." - Variety
